Disney's Soccer Showcase (Boys) presented by Chelsea Football Club

Welcome to the Proving Ground! Disney's Soccer Showcase presented by Chelsea Football Club is the ultimate place for top clubs to be seen by hundreds of college coaches looking for great soccer talent. Rated #1 youth soccer tournament in the U.S. in a Soccer America survey, Disney's Soccer Showcase presented by Chelsea Football club gives athletes a chance to shine on one of the biggest stages set for youth soccer in this country

All Disney Soccer Tournaments Include:

  • Professionally maintained fields

ELIGIBILITY

This is an FYSA Sanctioned Tournament, which is open to all USSF affiliated organizations for boys in age groups: U15-U18. Open to state cup or higher level teams.  At the end of the application period, a Sports Sales Manager will review all applications and notify your team of its status as soon as possible.

A Soccer Sales Manager will review all applications and notify your team of its status as soon as possible.

Upon acceptance into the tournament, your team entry fee must be paid in full immediately to guarantee your spot. Entry fees are non-refundable. In the event your team must withdraw from the tournament, you must notify the tournament director in writing at least 60 days prior to the tournament date and you will be allowed to transfer your entry fee to a future event.

Do you have a story?

Do you have a newsworthy story? If you have something unusual, ironic, or outstanding that would make a great news story please let us know. Examples would be two sets of triples on the same team, your team scoring more goals than all competitor teams combined, overcoming a dramatic physical challenge, Academic achievements, etc.

 Sanctioning/Player Cards

FYSA AND USSF SANCTIONING

This tournament is sanctioned by FYSA and USSF.  In order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF/USYSA/FYSA or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card. If you are not a member of any of these organizations please call (800) 4-SOCCER to obtain membership information.

SANCTIONING RULES FOR FYSA TEAMS

In order to participate in this tournament all FYSA teams must be in "Good Standing". Please submit for approval a copy of your official FYSA computer-generated roster.

SANCTIONING RULES FOR NON-FLORIDA TEAMS

In order to participate in this tournament all USYS and other USSF affiliates must be in "Good Standing" and obtain Permission to Travel* from their State/National Association. Please send a copy of your completed Approved/Certified Roster along with your Permission to Travel to our office at least 30 days prior to the event.

*Permission to Travel is not required from teams registered with US Club Soccer.

In order to participate in this tournament all teams from outside the United States must have written permission and verification from US Soccer and their country's Federation indicating authorization to participate in the Disney Youth Tournament. Please send a copy of your completed Approved/Certified Roster (complete with one recent passport size photo of each player and coach), your Permission to Travel and Proof of Insurance to our office at least 30 days prior to the event. International teams (players and coaches) will be required to present passports at registration.

To accommodate as many teams as possible, additional Disney approved venues will be utilized. Please note that additional fields may not be on Walt Disney World® Resort property. Not all teams will have an opportunity to participate at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex during the tournament.

  • Turn RIGHT onto Osceola Parkway East and follow for 2 miles.
  • Exit RIGHT onto S.R. 417 (Greeneway) North (toward airport) and follow for 13 miles.
  • From S.R. 417, exit Boggy Creek Road south to Austin Tindall Regional Park.
  • Follow for 4 miles and the soccer Complex will be on the RIGHT.

DRIVE TIME:  25 MINUTES - 25 MILES

**Restrooms, concessions, & merchandise will be available. No alcohol or glass bottles are permitted.
** Recommended to carpool & bring your own chair.  There is also access to a nature trail and dog park.

  • On Victory Way, turn right at the stoplight onto Osceola Pkwy.
  • Take first right to go onto I-4 West toward Tampa - follow approximately 23 miles.
  • Take Exit 41 toward Auburndale/Lakeland.
  • Continue on West Polk Parkway 570 for approximately 6 miles (thru the $1.00 toll)
  • Take Exit 18 to Old Dixie Highway (546).
  • Take a left at the end of the ramp (Old Dixie Highway)
  • Drive 1 mile and take a left on Berkley Rd.
  • Drive 1.5 miles and the complex will be on the left (Lake Myrtle Dr.)

DRIVE TIME:  40 MINUTES - 35 MILES

Alternate Route (No Toll)

  • From Victory Way take a right onto Osceola Parkway
  • Merge right onto I-4 W toward Tampa - follow for approximately 21 miles.
  • Take exit 44 (DC 559) toward Polk City/Auburndale
  • On the exit ramp, take a left to continue to FL-559 S - follow .8 miles
  • Turn right at CR 559A & follow 1.8 miles.
  • At the fork in the road, veer off left onto Berkley Road.
  • Follow for 3.8 miles & turn right into the complex at Lake Myrtle Rd.

DRIVE TIME:  40 MINUTES - 31.1 MILES


Mickey's Retreat

**Restrooms will be available - no concessions are at this facility - gates open at 7am**

  • On Victory Way, turn right at the stoplight onto Osceola Pkwy.
  • Veer left onto the I-4 East, toward Orlando.
  • Go 1 mile and exit at Lake Buena Vista (Exit 68). 
  • Continue straight through stop light onto Vineland Ave. 
  • Turn right onto Little Lake Bryan Pkwy. 
  • Turn right at next stop sign onto Lake Forest drive
  • Cast Recreation Area will be ahead on the right  -- the field is at the back of the parking lot.

FAQ's

Q:  What caliber teams participate in the Showcase?
A:  State Champion quality and above.

Q:  Where can I find a list of accepted teams?
A:  A complete list of participating teams will be posted on the web site on Sept 15th. 

Q:  When are schedules available and where do I find them?
A:  Schedules will be available in early November and will be posted on our web site.

Q:  Is there a separate registration for the boys and girls?
A:  Yes, the boy's registration is on Saturday, December 26, from 5-9pm at the All-Star Café located at the DWWS complex.  The girls registration on Wednesday, December 30, from 5-9 at the All-Star Café located at the DWWS complex.

Q:  When will the finals be played?
A:  All finals will be kicked off no later than 3:30pm on December 30 (boys) and January 3 (girls).  Please plan your return travel accordingly!

Q:  How do I book my accommodations for the Showcase?  How do I contact them?
A:  All hotel rooms must be booked through our official travel provider, Anthony Travel.  Please call toll free at 800-736-6377 or visit www.anthonytravel.com.

Q:  When and where is the Showcase reception for the Club/College coaches, referees and VIP's?
A:  The reception will be held at location and time TBD.  (Coaches, Managers, DOC's, referees, and VIP's only! No players.)

Q:  Can my team play with US Club Soccer player passes?
A:  Yes, any USSF affiliate passes are acceptable.

Q:  What are the game suspension rules for a red card?
A:  Red Card suspensions will be per FYSA Rule 502. NO exceptions

Q: Do Red Cards count against me in the scoring to advance.
A: Red Cards only come into play as one of the last tie-breakers when deciding which teams advance. Tournament Rules

Q:  Can a player participate with an orthopedic cast?
A:  NO!  Per FYSA Rule 402.2.b

Q:  Are there off-site facilities used?  Are spectator tickets required at off-sites?
A:  YES we utilize off-site facilities and tickets are NOT required. 

Q: Will we be able to increase our roster size to 22 per the new guidelines for State Cup play in the U16, U17 & U18 age groups.
A:  YES

Q:  Do I have to input my rosters into the on-line scheduling program.
A:  YES, all teams are required (mandatory) to input their rosters into Soccer Scheduler. These rosters will be included in the referee game reports for use on the field. They will be crossed checked against your approved association roster.

Q:  Will player profiles for college coaches be made available at the event?
A:  As part of the on-line rosters inputted by the teams the U16-U18 age groups will have the opportunity to build a player profile that will be available on-line before, during and after the event. An abbreviated version will be distributed to all coaches upon them checking in at the event.

Q:  Are USSF DA teams eligible to participate?
A:  Yes, we have approval from USSF.

Guest Players

Are you a player whose team will not be attending, but would like the opportunity to guest play with one of our participating teams? Players interested in being an eligible guest player must register on http://www.gotsoccer.com using the directions below. Your information will be provided to coaches that are looking for guest players. Remember, in order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card.

How to enter the Guest Player Pool:

  • Go to www.gotsoccer.com and click on "Log In" on the left-hand side. The click on "Player Account".
  • Log into the site using your existing GotSoccer username and password (If you do not have an account click on register and create a new account).
  • After logging in the next screen will show "Your Upcoming Tournaments." To search for a tournament click on "Tournaments" underneath the GotSoccer.com logo on the top of the page.
  • From this screen you will be able to use the search engine to find a specific tournament's date or name. Just type in the tournament you are looking for and click on go.
  • The tournament you are looking for should appear after the search is complete. From this screen there are will be two options beside the event/s listed, "Event Information" and "Apply as a Guest Player."
  • Click on "Apply as a Guest Player." This will take you to a page that will allow you to enter the guest player pool, as well as show you the divisions of play for the particular tournament you have accessed.
  • On the right click on "Submit Application." Above where you have clicked a message will appear that says "You have applied as a guest player." This message means the process is complete. If you wish to cancel simply hit "Cancel Application."
  • IMPORTANT: Due to the different rules and regulations for guest players throughout the many USYS State Associations and other National Governing Bodies (NGB) it is the responsibility of the players and coaches involved to make sure all the required forms and documents are provided to the tournament. If in doubt contact the State Associations/NGB involved.

Coaches

If you are interested in adding a guest player to your team please follow the steps outlined below to access and add available guest players. Remember, in order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card.

How to add a Guest Player to your roster:

  • Go to www.gotsoccer.com and click on "Log In" on the left-hand side. The click on "Team Account".
  • Your team page will appear, on the left-hand side in the middle of the page underneath "Your Upcoming Events" click on the event you are looking to add a guest player to.
  • The next page will show team information regarding the tournament you have selected. Click on the tab that says "Guest Player" on the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  • A list of guest players available will appear. Click on the player you wish to add to your team.
  • You have now entered the guest player overview screen where you will be able to view information about the player. If you wish to add this player look under team assignment on the right side of the page. Use the pull down tab to place your team's name in the guest of section, and then place the jersey number the player will be wearing in the box. Click on update.
  • You have now successfully added the player to your roster for this tournament.
  • IMPORTANT: Due to the different rules and regulations for guest players throughout the many USYS State Associations and other National Governing Bodies (NGB) it is the responsibility of the players and coaches involved to make sure all the required forms and documents are provided to the tournament. Spectator Resources

Spectator admission is required for all tournament games at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. Length-of-Event tournament passes (LOE) allow for admission to all days of the tournament.

  • Daily admission: $12.75 (ages 10 & older) $10.00 (ages 3-9)

Rooms are blocked at several hotels for all Disney Soccer event participants and spectators.  All teams are required to stay in one of the tournament hotels and must make their reservations through Anthony Travel, the designated Travel Planner for all Disney Soccer tournaments.
