Disneyland® Family Fun Run 5K

Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 7:00 a.m.

Adults, teens and tweens will enjoy a fun-filled and exciting 5K. Everyone in the family can be a part of this official Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend event. Experience a 5K course that winds through  the Disneyland® Resort with an unforgettable finish!

Each participant's $50 registration in the Disneyland® Family Fun Run 5K will include:

DISNEY'S KIDS' RACES

Disneyland® Kids' Races

Saturday, September 4, 2010 following the completion of the 5K

Disneyland® Kids' Races will give your little runner the chance to earn his or her own finisher medallion!  Entertainment waits around the turn! Sign up now for the Kids' Races to participate in this festival of fun! Children up to age 8 can participate in kids' races ranging from the 400 meter run down to the 100 meter dash. Even the infants can crawl in the Diaper Dash!!  Space is limited.

Disney's Kids' Races Age Groups

• 12 months and under - Diaper Dash for crawlers
• 1-3 years old - 100m dash
• 4-6 years old - 200m dash
• 7-8 years old - 400m dash

Each participant's $20 registration in the Diaper Dash, 100m, 200m and 400m will include:

• Disney theme t-shirt
• Personalized Disney theme bib (Register by 7/1/10)

TRANSFER POLICY
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If your registration for the 2010 event is confirmed and you are unable to participate, you will receive guaranteed entry into the 2011 race if you notify us in writing postmarked by July 13, 2010. Please note: You are still required to register for the 2011 race and your entry fee for the 2010 race WILL NOT transfer to the 2011 race.

ELIGIBILITY

Disneyland® Half Marathon

• To compete you must be 14 years of age or older.

Disneyland® Family Fun Run 5K

• All ages are welcome to compete. Each participant must be able to complete the 5K on their own.  No strollers are allowed on course.

Disney's Kids' Races

• Children 8 and under.

PROOF OF TIME

If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon less than 2:45 hours, proof of time is required.

Acceptable forms of proof of time are either a photocopy of finisher's certificate or a print out of race results. All forms of proof of time must be from a race 10K or longer, after July 1, 2007. If you do not provide of time you will be placed in the last start corral.

Corral placement is based on proof of time. If no proof of time is provided, you will be placed in the last start corral. You can provide proof of time at the Expo at the Runner Relations booth if you did not provide proof of time at the point of registration.

PACING REQUIREMENT

Disneyland® Half Marathon

• All athletes entering the Half Marathon and/or Marathon must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace throughout the race, finishing the Half Marathon in 3.5 hours.

Disneyland® Family Fun Run 5K

• All 5K participants will be required to maintain a 16-minute per mile pace in order to receive the finisher medal. Any participants unable to maintain this pace will be picked up and transported to the finish.

Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces will be picked up and transported to the finish. You can be picked up at any point along the course for not maintaining pace.

Awards

Awards will be presented in the following categories for the Half Marathon:

Top 3 Overall Males
Top 3 Overall Females
Top 3 Male Wheelchairs
Top 3 Female Wheelchairs
Male Masters Champions
Female Masters Champions
Top 3 Military Awards
Top 5 Males and Females in each division

Masters (40 and over) that place in the overall division, will receive that overall award only. A runner will not receive two awards for the same race result.

Safety Reminders

For the safety of yourself and the other participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area.  Headphones are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.
