Transportation
Transportation to/from all race related activities will be provided ONLY to those participants staying at one of the host hotels listed on the 'Travel Details' page. If you are not staying at one of the host hotels you will be responsible for your own transportation to/from all race related activities.
Parking
Parking at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ will be free of charge if you arrive after 7:30 pm. Please plan to arrive at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ between 7:30 - 9:30 pm. Road closures begin at 9:00 pm. If you arrive before 9:15 pm, please use both entrances into Disney's Hollywood Studios™ from World Drive and Buena Vista Drive. If you arrive after 9:15 pm, please use the Buena Vista Drive entrance.
Baggage Claim
There will be a baggage drop off location at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ for 13K & 5K participants. Attach the tear tag of your bib number to your bag when you drop it off at Baggage Claim. Your bags will be transported to the finish line inside Disney's Hollywood Studios™. Your race bib number will be used to verify your bag when you pick it up at Baggage Claim.
You must use the clear plastic bag provided to you at Packet Pick Up for your baggage. We will not accept any items that are not in the clear plastic bag you received at Packet Pick Up. Please do not check any valuables. Baggage Claim will be open from 7:30 pm - 2 am.
Bib Numbers
Each runner will be issued a bib number at Packet Pick-up. It is the responsibility of each runner to wear the bib during the race. If a runner is seen without their bib number while running on the course, they will be removed from the course for security and safety reasons.
A ChronoTrack timing D-tag will be located on the back of the race bib. The disposable D-tag should be peeled off and attached to the runner's shoe before the race.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 13K is an 8.1 mile nighttime road race that will end in the shadows of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ Your run into the fifth dimension will also take you to Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex before returning to Disney's Hollywood Studios™ where the course will feature the Lights, Motors, Action™ Extreme Stunt Show, then turn down New York Street, wind past the Sorcerer's Hat and return you to an unforgettable finish at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™.
The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror™ 5k course
The 5K course will take you through Disney's Hollywood Studios™ including Lights, Motors, Action™ Extreme Stunt Show, the streets of New York, the Sorcerer's Hat and a finish at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction.
Water & Medical Stops
Four water stops will be available on the 13K course. PowerAde will be available at water stops 3 and 4. The 5K course will include one water stop with both water and PowerAde. Medical personnel on bikes will ride along with you during both the 13K & 5K. Medical personnel will be stationed at the finish line of both races.
Course Photographers
ASI Photographers will be on the course and at the finish line taking photos during the race. Remember to keep your race number on the front of your shirt, uncovered and in clear view.

REGISTRATION
What is included in the 13K registration fee? Each participant will receive a tech shirt, personalized bib number (if registered before Oct. 1), timed race, 13K finisher's medal, athlete refreshments, and exclusive access to the Post-Race Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios™.
What is included in the 5K registration fee? Each participant will receive a cotton shirt, personalized bib number (if registered before Oct. 1), timed race, finisher's medal, athlete refreshments, and exclusive access to the Post-Race Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios™.
How do I know that I'm registered? If you registered online, you will receive a confirmation email from Active.com. This email will serve as your only confirmation of registration. If you cannot find your confirmation email, please visit our website (www.towerofterror13K.com) on the 'Registration' tab is a link called 'Confirmation'. You can use that link to have another confirmation email sent to you.
Is there a Cast or DVC Member discount? Yes! Please contact us at wdw.sports.marathon.endurance@disneysports.com for details regarding the discount.
Can I get a refund on my race entry or transfer it to next year? All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made.
Are there any age restrictions? Yes. Participants must be at least 11 years or older to participate in the 13K and 8 years or older to participate in the 5K. The kid's races are available for children 1-8 years old.
Are there pacing requirements? Yes. Each 13K & 5K participant must be able to maintain an 18-minute per mile pace. If you are unable to maintain the required pace, you will be picked up from the course and transported to the finish area. Anyone transported to the finish area will not receive a finisher's medal. All participants must be able to complete the race on their own.
PACKET PICK-UP
Do I need to bring anything with me to Packet Pick-up? You MUST bring your Photo ID with you to Packet Pick-up. If you have your receipt and/or registration confirmation email from Active.com, we recommend that you bring that with you as well.
What are the Packet Pick-up locations and times? Packet Pick-up will take place at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex on Friday, October 23 from 4 - 9 pm and Saturday, October 24, from 10 am - 4 pm (Packet Pick-up times are subject to change).There will be noPacket Pick-up at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ Saturday night.
Can I pick up my packet at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ before the race? No. You must pick up your race packet at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex during the posted Packet Pick-up times. There will be absolutely no Packet Pick-up at Disney's Hollywood Studios ™.
What if I can't make it to Packet Pick-up? Can someone else pick up my packet for me? Yes. For someone else to pick up your packet, you will need to provide them with the following documents:
1) Copy of your Photo ID
2) Signed event waiver (event waiver will be available at www.towerofterror13K.com a few weeks before the event).
Both items MUST be provided. No exceptions will be made.
Can my race packet and shirt be mailed to me if I can't attend? Unfortunately, we are unable to mail race packets and event shirts.
Can I bring my stroller to Packet Pick-up? Yes. However, strollers are restricted inside both the Josten's Center and the Milkhouse at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. You will need to leave your stroller in the designated Stroller parking areas prior to entering one of these buildings.
EVENT INFORMATION
What time does the 5K race start? The 5K race will begin promptly at 10:15 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Disney's Hollywood Studios™.
What time does the 13K race start? The 13K race will begin promptly at 10:30 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Disney's Hollywood Studios™.
What time do I need to be at the start line for my race? Please plan to arrive at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ between 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Road closures begin at 9 pm. If you arrive before 9 pm, please use both entrances into the park from World Drive and Buena Vista Drive. If you arrive after 9:15 pm, please use the Buena Vista Drive entrance.
Will the race be timed? Yes, both the 5K and 13K will be timed races. All participants will be timed using the ChronoTrack timing system and the results will be posted online. ChronoTrack timing D-tags will be attached to your race bib and will be distributed at Packet Pick-up. The disposable timing tag peels off the bib and must be attached to your shoe prior to the race.
Where can I find more information about ChronoTrack? For more information on the ChronoTrack timing system, including how to attach the D-tag to your shoe, please visit www.chronotrack.com/for-athletes.
Can I use my ChampionChip? No. All participants will be timed using the ChronoTrack timing system.
How do I know where to line up at the start line? For both races, there will be pacing signs along the start line chute so you can line up according to your personal pace.
Can I participate in the 5K using a wheelchair? Yes. If you are using a RACING wheelchair, please line up in front of the other participants as you will be starting 2 minutes earlier than the rest of the field. If participating in a NON-RACING wheelchair, please line up with the Walking Division in the back of the start line chute. All participants using wheelchairs must be able to complete the race under their own power.
Can I participate in the 13K using a wheelchair? Yes. All wheelchairs, RACING and NON-RACING, need to line up in front of the other participants as you will be starting 2 minutes earlier than the rest of the field. All participants using wheelchairs must be able to complete the race under their own power. Wheelchair participants in the 13K will compete on an altered course.
Is there anything I can't bring on to the course or any restrictions I should know about? Yes. For the safety of yourself and the other participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, Halloween masks, and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area. If you are transported to the finish area for any reason, you will not receive a finisher's medal.
Can I dress up in a costume to run this themed race? Yes. You can dress up in a costume to run either the 5K or 13K, however, you will not be allowed to participate in the race if wearing a mask. In addition, masks will not be allowed inside Disney's Hollywood Studios™ during the post race party. We do reserve the right to not allow you to participate if your costume is questionable or offensive to others.
Are there water stops on the course? There will be 4 water stops along the 13K course and water stops 3 and 4 will also have PowerAde. There is 1 water and PowerAde stop on the 5K course. Please see the Race Course page for water stop locations.
Is there a medical stop on the course? Yes. There is medical tent along the 13K course. There is a medical tent at the finish line of both the 5K and 13K. Medical personnel will also ride along with you on bikes on both courses.
Will there be awards? Yes. There are awards for both the 5K and 13K award winners. Please see the 'Event Details' page on the website for a full list of the award categories. The overall winners will be based on gun time and the age group winners will be based on ChronoTrack time.
Is there an awards ceremony? Yes, an awards ceremony will take place at 12 midnight at the Sorcerers Hat icon stage inside the park. We will present awards to the overall winners of the 5k and 13k at this time. The age group award winners for the 13k will not be presented at the awards ceremony, but instead will be mailed following the race.
If I can't attend the awards ceremony, will my award be mailed to me? Yes. If you win one of the awards and are unable to stay for the ceremony, your award will be mailed to you following the race. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
Will there be baggage claim? Yes. Participants can drop their bags off at the baggage claim area in the pre-race staging area in the Television Lot at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ prior to the race. Please attach the baggage tear tag on your bib number to your bag. Your race bib number will be used to verify your bag after the race when you pick it up in the Baggage Claim area near the finish line. Participants must use the clear plastic bag given out at Packet Pick Up for their baggage. We will not accept any items that are not in the clear plastic bag. Please do not check any valuables. Baggage Claim will be open from 7:30 pm - 2 am.

Are there specially priced hotel rooms available for 13K and 5K participants? Yes! You can call (407) 938-4868 to reserve your room today. For rates and hotel choices, click on the 'Travel Details' tab on towerofterror13K.com.
Are there specially priced theme park tickets available to participants? Yes! Specially priced one-day and multi-day tickets will be available on the online ticket store. Once you register for the event you will receive a password in your confirmation email. You will need that password to access the online ticket store. Tickets purchased from the online theme park ticket store are valid for 14-days from the date of first use. All tickets will expire on December 31, 2009.
I don't have a password or I lost mine. How do I get another one? To get another password go to www.towerofterror13K.com, click on the 'Registration' tab on the left, and then click on Confirmation. Enter the email address that you used to register for the race. A new registration confirmation will be emailed to you, including the password.
How long is the specially priced theme park ticket valid for? Tickets purchased from the online theme park ticket store are valid for 14-days from the date of first use. All tickets will expire on December 31, 2009.
If I order the theme park ticket through the On-line Ticket Store, how will I receive my tickets? During your purchase, you will be able to select the method of delivery.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION QUESTIONS
Will transportation be provided? Transportation to Packet Pick-up, the race and Post-Race Party will ONLY be provided to those participants who stay at the Host Hotels. POST-RACE PARTY & PARTY TICKETS
What is the Post-Race Party? For information on the Post-Race Party, go to www.towerofterror13K.com, click on the 'Travel Details' tab and then select the 'More Magic' tab.
What are the hours of the Post-Race Party? The Post-Race Party will begin at 10:15 pm and end at 2:00 am. No one will be allowed in the park until 10:15 pm.
What attractions are included with the party? The available attractions will be posted closer to the event and listed in your final race instructions. You will also receive a Post-Race Party map that will list the attractions and food locations that will be offered during the party.
Where can I purchase Post-Race Party Tickets for my friends and family? Go to www.towerofterror13K.com, click on the 'Travel Details' tab and then select the 'More Magic' tab. Party Tickets may also be available for purchase at Packet Pick-up. Party Ticket purchases at Packet Pick-up are not guaranteed and will be based on availability. Post race party tickets will not be available for purchase at Disney's Hollywood Studios™.
Where do I pick up my Post-Race Party Tickets? Your Party Tickets can ONLY be picked up at Packet Pick-up at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. Party Tickets will not be available for pick-up at Disney's Hollywood Studios™.
I am unable to attend the Post Race Party. Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket? Unfortunately, all purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made.
Can I watch the finish of the race without a Post-Race Party ticket? You will not be able to view the finish of either race without a party ticket. Tickets will not be available for purchase at Disney's Hollywood Studios™. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
Can I use my Annual Pass instead of purchase a Post-Race Party Ticket? This event is a specially ticketed event and Annual Passes will not be valid for entry into the Post-Race Party.
COMMEMORATIVE ITEMS & PHOTOS
I didn't purchase the Commemorative Pin during registration. Can I add it now? Yes. There is a link to purchase the pin at towerofterror13K.com. Click on the tab labeled 'Commemorative Items'. Please note that pins will only be distributed at Packet Pick-up and will not be mailed or refunded if not picked up.
If I can't attend the race, can my pin be mailed to me? Unfortunately, the Commemorative Pin can only be picked up at Packet Pick-up at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. If you cannot attend the race, the pin will not be mailed or refunded.
How do I find my race photos after the race? To view your race photos, please visit asiorders.com. Race photos are typically posted one week after the race. You will need your race number to access your race photos.
SPECTATORS
Can my friends and family watch me during the race? Spectators will be able to view the start of both the 5K and 13K at Disney's Hollywood Studios™. There will be no viewing areas along the road portion of the 13K course. In order to view the race finish or any part of the course inside Disney's Hollywood Studios™, spectators must purchase the Post-Race Party ticket.
KIDS' RACES
Are there kid's races? Yes. The Kids' Races will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 12 pm at the Track at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex.
What ages can participate in the kids races? Kid's ages 1- 8 years old can participate.
What is included in the Kids' Races registration fee? Registration for each child includes: Kids' race t-shirt, goody bag, race bib, and Disney's Kids' Races finisher's medallion. Kids' Race registration does not include a Post Race Party Ticket.
What are the distances? Distances vary by age.
100 meters: 1-3 years old
200 meters: 4-6 years old
400 meters: 7-8 years old
Where do the Kids' Races start and finish? The Kids' Races will take place at the Track at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex at 12 pm on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. More detailed instructions will be provided in the Final Race Instructions that you will receive when you pick up the race packet.
Can I register my child during Packet Pick-up? The Kids' Races are subject to capacity limits and all parents are encouraged to register their kids online before Sunday, October 18, 2009. FALL RACE CHALLENGE COMMEMORATIVE BONUS MEDAL
How do I earn the commemorative Fall Race Challenge bonus medal? Complete both Disney's Race for the Taste 10K and EITHER the Expedition Everest" Challenge OR The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 13K in the SAME calendar year and you will earn the commemorative bonus medal.
What if I am registered for Disney's Race for the Taste 3K or The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 5K? Can I get the bonus medal? No. The only combinations of eligible races are listed in the question above.
Do I need to sign up for the Fall Race Challenge? No. You are automatically entered into the Fall Race Challenge when you register and complete either combination of races.
How do I get my bonus medal? Bonus medals will be distributed at the finish line of Disney's Race for the Taste 10K and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13K™. More information will be provided in the Final Race Instructions for each event.

What if I need child care services during my stay at the Walt Disney World Resort? Together with independent childcare provider Kids Nite Out, the hotels at the Walt Disney World® Resort offer you the convenience of expert, one-to-one in-room babysitting for an additional cost. You can even reserve a childcare specialist to accompany you and your family during your visit to the Parks, providing a helping hand where needed. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
