You'll want to be here for a weekend of races that are as magical as they are memorable, from Disney's Health & Fitness Expo to the final mile of the marathon, complete with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy medals. Disney's Health & Fitness Expo features celebrity runner appearances and seminars on training, racing, and nutrition. Each seminar will last approximately 45 minutes and will include Q and A and autograph sessions. TV and Radio commentator Creigh Kelley will host.

All runners must attend the Expo for race number and packet pick-up. If you are planning to arrive at Walt Disney World® Resort before Thursday, we highly recommend that you attend packet pick-up early in the day on Thursday, Friday or Saturday to avoid longer lines later in the day.

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made.
If your registration for the 2011 event is confirmed and you are unable to participate, you will receive guaranteed entry into the 2012 race if you notify us in writing postmarked by November 13, 2010. Please note: You are still required to register for the 2012 race and your entry fee for the 2011 race WILL NOT transfer to the 2012 race.

PROOF OF TIME
If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in less than 2:45 hours or the Marathon in less than 5:00 hours, proof of time is required for start corral placement.
Please provide proof of time at the point of registration.
Proof of time should include name of race, year, distance and time finished (i.e. 2009 Boston Marathon - 3:35 OR 2009 Disneyland Half Marathon - 2:25). If you do not have a proof of time to submit, list N/A at the point of registration. Proof of time must be provided from a race 10K or longer. All forms of proof of time must be from a race after July 1, 2008. If you do not provide proof of time you will be placed in the last start corral.
If you do not provide proof of time at the point of registration or acquire it after you have registered, then email this information to disneysports@trackshack.com before November 1, 2010. After November 1, 2010 you will need to bring proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booth at the Expo if you wish to have your start corral placement changed. PACKET PICK-UP
All runners must attend the Expo for race number and packet pick-up. If you are planning to arrive at Walt Disney World® Resort before Thursday, we highly recommend that you attend packet pick-up early in the day on Thursday, Friday or Saturday to avoid expected long lines. You will need to download your personalized race number pick-up card/waiver form online and bring it with you to packet pick-up at the Expo when it becomes available online in December.
If you cannot attend the race packet pick-up, then shirts, race packets and goody bags will not be mailed. Absentee packet pick-up is available if you provide a signed waiver and copy of your driver's license to a friend, then your friend will be able to pick up your race packet on your behalf.

Baggage Claim
There will be a baggage drop off location at the race start for participants. Attach the bottom tear tag of your bib number to your bag when you drop it off at Baggage Claim. Your race bib number will be used to verify your bag when you pick it up at Baggage Claim. You must use the bag you were given at Packet Pick-up to check your baggage. We will not accept any items that are not in the provided bag. Please do not check any valuable items. Event Staff are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Bib Numbers
Each runner will be issued a bib number at packet pick-up. It is the responsibility of each runner to wear the bib during the race. If a runner is seen without their bib number while running on the course, they will be removed from the course for security and safety reasons.
A ChronoTrack D-Tag timing device will be located on the back of the race bib.
Timing & Results
The Marathon, Half Marathon and Mickey Mile are timed events.
The ChronoTrack timing system will be used for the Marathon, Half Marathon and Mickey Mile. A ChronoTrack timing D-Tag will be located on the back of each runner's race bib. The disposable D-Tag should be peeled off and attached to the participant's shoe before the race.
Online results will be posted after race conclusion at disneyworldmarathon.com
If you are picked up and transported to the finish line for any reason you will not receive a finisher medal.

Safety
SAFETY REMINDER
For the safety of yourself and the other participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area.
Headphones are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.
You are allowed to and even encouraged to wear a costume while running the event, however, your costume cannot include a face mask for security and safety reasons. Anyone seen in violation of this will be removed from the course. If your costume is questionable or offensive to others, we reserve the right to either have you change into something more appropriate or remove you from the event.

Pacing Requirements
MARATHON EVENTS: All athletes entering the Half Marathon and/or Marathon must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace or faster throughout the race.
Disney Family Fun Run 5K: All athletes entering the Disney Family Fun Run 5K must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace or faster in order to receive the finisher medallion.
Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces will be picked up and transported to the finish. You can be picked up at any point along the course for not maintaining pace.

Awards
Overall Half Marathon male and female winners and wheelchair winners receive their awards at a presentation in the Family Reunion area at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the Overall Marathon male and female winners and wheelchair winners will receive their awards at a presentation to be held in the Family Reunion area at 9:30 a.m. Please note, overall awards are based on Gun Time.
Individual Awards
The following awards for both the Half Marathon and the Marathon will be distributed by mail after the event. Because of the number of people who participate in both the Marathon and Half Marathon, it can often take several minutes to cross the start line. In the interest of fairness, masters and age group award winners will be based on Net Time. Masters (40 and over) that place in the overall division, will receive that overall award only. A runner will not receive two awards for the same race result.

REGISTRATION
What is included in the registration fee? For information on what is included in your registration fee, please refer to the 'Event Overview' tab at www.disneyworldmarathon.com.
Is there a Cast Member, DVC member or Annual Passholder discount? No Cast Member, DVC Member or Annual Passholder discount is available for the 2011 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend.
How do I know that I'm registered? Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email from Active.com. This email will serve as your only confirmation of registration.
Can I get an additional registration confirmation emailed to me? To receive an additional registration confirmation, visit www.disneyworldmarathon.com and select the 'Registration' link and then the 'Confirmation' link. Enter the email address you used to register for the race and an additional confirmation email will be sent to you.
Is there a minimum age to register for the race? To view the age requirements for each race, please view the 'Registration' link at www.disneyworldmarathon.com.
Is a theme park ticket included in my registration? No. Theme park tickets must be purchased separately from your race registration.
Do I need to purchase a theme park ticket to participate in the race? A theme park ticket is not needed to participate in any of the races during the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend.
What is included on my personalized bib? Your personalized bib will include your first name and your race number.
If the race is sold out, can I still get in? Guaranteed registrations may be available through our Groups & Charities program. Please refer to the Groups & Charities link under the 'Registration' link at www.disneyworldmarathon.com.
Do you have a waiting list? A waiting list is not available for any of the races during the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend. Please see the question above for more information about guaranteed registrations.
REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS
If I am injured, pregnant or no longer able to attend the event, can I get a refund? Entry fees are non-refundable. The only exception made is for active military who are deployed for service.
Can I get a refund on my race entry or transfer it to next year? Entry fees are non-refundable. If your registration for the 2011 event is confirmed and you are unable to participate, you will receive guaranteed entry into the 2012 race if you notify us in writing postmarked by November 13, 2010. You are still required to register for the 2011 race and your entry fee for the 2010 race WILL NOT transfer to the 2011 race.
I am registered for the marathon but I want to do the half marathon. Can I transfer my registration? Registrations cannot be transferred from one event to another.
PROOF OF TIME/CORRAL PLACEMENT
Do I need to submit proof of time? Corral placement is based on your anticipated finish time. If you believe you will complete the half marathon in under 2:45 hours or the full marathon in under 5 hours you must submit a proof of time that supports your anticipated finish time. If your finish time will be after 2:45/5:00 hours, you do not need to submit proof of time.
I submitted my proof of time when I registered. Do I need to do anything else? If you submitted proof of time during registration, you do not need to provide any other information or documentation.
What is considered an acceptable proof of time? Proof of time must be from a race 10K or longer completed after July 1, 2008. Proof of time should include name of race, year, distance and time finished (i.e. 2009 Disneyland Half Marathon - 2:25).

PACING REQUIREMENTS & RESTRICTIONS
Is there a pacing requirement for the race? Yes. Participants in the Family Fun Run 5K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace throughout the race.
Is this race walker friendly? Both runners and walkers who can maintain a 16-minute per mile pace are welcome to participate in the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend.
What happens if I can't keep up with the pacing requirement? Anyone not able to maintain the pace will be picked up and transported to the finish. You may be picked up at any point along the course for not maintaining pace. If you are transported to the finish line for any reason you will not receive a finisher medal.
Are there any other restrictions I should know about? For the safety of yourself and the other participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. Is there race morning packet pick-up? Race morning packet pick-up is not available for the Marathon, Half Marathon or Goofy's Challenge.
Do I have to attend the Expo? You are required to attend the Expo to pick up your race packet, race shirt and goody bag.
What are the hours of the Expo? Please refer to the 'Schedule' link at www.disneyworldmarathon.com for Expo hours.
Where is the Expo located? Disney's Health & Fitness Expo will be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Do I need to bring anything with me to Packet Pick-up? To pick up your race packet, you must bring a photo ID and your signed waiver. A waiver must be completed and signed by each participant. If the participant is under 18 years old, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. No exceptions will be made.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me? Yes. If you are not able to attend Packet Pick-Up, the individual picking up on your behalf must provide the following items as well as his/her picture ID: written authorization signed by the participant, a copy of the participant's picture ID, and the event waiver signed by the participant. No exceptions will be made.
If I can't attend the race, can my race packet be mailed to me? Unfortunately, we are unable to mail race packets, goody bags and race shirts.
Can I bring my stroller to the Expo? Strollers are not allowed inside Jostens® Center or The Milkhouse at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®(LLS), an organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancers. With the support of thousands of volunteers and participants in LLS's Team In Training program, the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend will help blood cancer patients live better, longer lives.
LLS uses the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend as a platform to create awareness of this life saving cause, as well as to raise much needed funds for research. Participants and volunteers have the opportunity to make donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society directly at the point of registration or by visiting our website at www.disneyworldmarathon.com. Each year, roughly $7 million is raised through participant and volunteer donations along with the Team in Training fundraising program.
